Do you recall being a child and thinking December was the longest month on the year? Those exciting days of anticipation seemed like forever. Of course, we really didn’t have much to do right? Plus we could get it done fast.
I remember Christmas plays and our 4-H group caroling at the convalescent hospital. As teens we hopped on a hay wagon and were hauled around town caroling and yes, people actually came out of their houses to wave and listen to us for a minute or two.
Fast forward: the days are flying by, I have a lot to do and I can’t get it done fast anymore! I’m not complaining just making excuses for myself.
This week I’ll be on a senior bus to Cambria to take in some excursions and get in the Christmas spirit, and yes once again I’ll be singing carols!
Unfortunately I am not performing with Oriana this year but see the info below. Don’t miss out on a beautiful concert. I will definitely be attending. Being in the audience takes my breath away, so much to take in! Maybe next year I'll be able to participate. It takes so many hours of practice to sound so beautiful. Try to attend, it will certainly become a annual tradition for your family!
Our 12 days of Christmas will begin on December 9th. There will be some nice savings. Maybe the quilter on your list would like a package under the tree from their favorite quilt shop!
We will be taking some days off between Christmas and new years, so check before heading over.
Also I’m encouraging you to bring a bag with you to carry your treasures. The city has an imposed bag tax and the bags like everything else are getting very expensive. I’m sad that we have to charge and am always happy to see a shopper with a fabric bag!
Thank you for your continued support and we wish you a Merry Christmas. We truly appreciate each and every one of you!

BOOK OUR CLASSROOM
Need a place to sew or meet up with your stitching friends?
During our regular shop hours (M-F 10-5, Sat 10-3), and when it's not in use, you can rent our room.
We have TWO different options:
- $5/person gets you a seat in the room
- $50/day gets you (your group) the room exclusively
What we have:
- Chairs for up to 10 people
- Dedicated cutting and ironing stations
- A few standard rulers to share
You bring your own supplies/sewing machine. You can bring lunch or visit one of the town's restaurants.
A gentle note... Booking our classroom for $5 is for the use of our classroom, not our staff.
We are more than happy to answer a question (or two), but we cannot give an impromptu personalized quilt lesson.
If you need more help, please consider signing up for Aneda's monthly one-on-one session QUILTING/OPEN SEW.
