Merry Christmas from all of us at Family Threads! December is bringing a little extra cheer on top of our 12 Days of Christmas, and we’re feeling especially grateful for this wonderful, stitch-loving community.
To keep the merriment rolling, nearly all of our Christmas panels are on sale for just $5. Plus, with any purchase of $10 or more, you’ll receive a free fat quarter — we have a couple of festive options to choose from.
We also squeezed in a cozy little holiday gathering and snapped this group photo. If you recognize any of these smiling faces from classes, behind the counter, lending a hand, or being “here all the time,” you’re absolutely right — they’re the heart of the shop (and yes, they do occasionally smile on cue including Gruf the dog).
We hope to see you soon!

It’s that time of year when our shop hours do a little shifting to make room for holiday cheer. Here’s a quick look at when we’ll be open so you can plan your visits.

WHAT'S NEW AND HAPPENING
We do our best to keep up with social media, but when the shop is bustling and threads are flying, not everything makes it to our feeds right away. That’s where the newsletter comes in. Think of this as your cozy insider update — sharing the latest arrivals, shop happenings, and all the fun we’re stitching up behind the scenes (even if it never made it to Instagram).
If you’d like to follow along between newsletters, you’ll find us here: Facebook: FamilyThreadsQuiltShop Instagram: @familythreadsinSJB
And don’t forget to tag us and use #familythreadsquiltshop — seeing what you’re creating is truly one of the best parts of our job.
Until next time, keep calm and stitch on!

We have TWO different options:
- $5/person gets you a seat in the room
- $50/day gets you (your group) the room exclusively
What we have:
- Chairs for up to 10 people
- Dedicated cutting and ironing stations
- A few standard rulers to share
You bring your own supplies/sewing machine. You can bring lunch or visit one of the town's restaurants.
A Friendly Reminder…
Booking our classroom covers the space, not staff time.
We’re happy to answer quick questions, but if you find yourself needing help, why not sign up for Aneda’s monthly QUILTING/OPEN SEW session? She’s ready to assist with your questions or projects.

TINTINNABULATION and BOMBINATE
"The shop bombinates with the cheerful tintinnabulation of tools, stitches, and ideas coming together."
DEFINITION Tintinnabulation (n) — A ringing, tinkling, bell-like sound; light, musical, and cheerful. Bombinate (v) — To make a humming or buzzing sound — often used to describe something bustling, lively, and full of energy.

Each week our good friends at Machine Medics come to pick up/drop off your sewing machines.
Each week Luis (with Karen's help sometimes) brings us a word and we have to figure out the definition. It's now become a source of entertainment we thought we'd share.
